Mahbubul Haque Shakil passes away

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s special assistant (media) Mahbubul Haque Shakil passed away this afternoon at Dhaka.

He was 47 years old.

Shakil, a former vice president of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), breathed his last around noon following a massive heart attack, premier`s Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim told BSS.

He left behind his wife and a daughter as well as a host of relatives, friends and admirers to mourn his death. Shakil`s father Advocate Jahirul Hoque Khoka is the incumbent president of Mymensingh district Awami League.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed deep shock at the death of Shakil. The premier prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
