One on 4-day remand in Japanese woman murder case

A Dhaka court on Monday granted four-day remand for HM Zakir Patwari alias Ratan, an accused in the Japanese woman Heroe Miyata murder case.

Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Md Kaisarul Islam granted the remand.

Zakir was produced before the court by the Investigation Officer, Uttara East Police Station Officer-in-Charge, Abu Bakar Mia.

He was arrested along the Indian border in Benapole on Sunday.

Heroe Miyata, 60, was murdered and buried allegedly by some of her "business partners" nearly a month ago.
