9 get life in journalist Manik Saha murder case

A court in Khulna today sentenced nine people to life term imprisonment in a case filed for killing journalist Manik Saha.
Manik Saha who was a reporter of the daily Sangbad,  died in a bomb attack near Khulna press club on January 15, 2004.
Judge M A Rob Howlader of the court announced the verdict in presence of five accused
The convicts are: Bulbul, Akram, Ali Akbar, Nuruzzaman alias Sumon, Sarwar, Mithun, Sattar alias Disco Sattar, Ballal, and Shawkat Hossain Saka.       
The trial started in June 2008.
Manik Saha was a former president of the press club. He  also worked for  the BBC, New Age, Ekushey TV.
