Indian Defence Minister arrives in Dhaka

Indian Defence Minister Shri Manohar Gopalkrishna Prabhu Parrikar on Wednesday arrived in the capital on a two-day official visit.

During his two-day stay in Dhaka, the Indian minister will pay separate calls on President Md Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Besides, he (Parrikar) along with the members of his delegation will meet Prime Minister’s Security Adviser Major General Tarique Ahmed Sidique (Rtd) when they will discuss matters relating to bilateral issues.

The deputy chiefs of staff of Indian Army, Navy and Air Force, who will accompany the minister, will pay courtesy call on chiefs of three services during the visit, where they are expected to discuss different issues relating to expansion of cooperation between the services of the two countries.

The Indian delegation will leave the country on December 1 after wrapping up their two-day Bangladesh visit.
