Hartal in Rajshahi and Barishal division on Sunday

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP)-led 20-party alliance called Hartal in Rajshahi and Barishal division on Sunday protesting the arrest and harassment of their party leaders and activists.

The alliance will hold the strike in Rajshahi division for 36 hours from Sunday, and dawn to dusk strike in 6 districts of Barishal division.

A press release signed by Advocate Kamrul Monir, General Secretary of Rajshahi district BNP, confirmed the Hartal in Rajshahi. They called the Hartal in protest of torching houses and attacking on activists in Shibganj of Chapainababganj.

On the other hand, the districts of Barishal division under Sunday’s Hartal are Barishal, Patuakhali, Jhalakathi, Pirojpur, Barguna and Bhola.
