PM’s flight back on air
The Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight that is carrying Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is back up on air after making an emergency landing.
The technical problem was solved and the flight resumed its journey to Hungary around 6:37pm, officials said.
The airlines made emergency landing at an airport in Turkmenistan today due to technical faults, officials confirmed.
The Prime Minister was on her way to Hungary for a four-day visit to attend Budapest Water Summit 2016.
Tourism and Civil Aviation minister Rashed Khan Menon told Jagonews that everyone aboard, including the premier, is physically safe.
Biman Bangladesh officials said that the flight left Dhaka`s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at around 9am.
