Ansarullah chief indicted in Anti-Terrorism Act case

The trial of Ansarullah Bangla Team chief Jashim Uddin Rahmani and nine others in a case filed under Anti-Terrorism Act has started with his indictment.

A Dhaka court framed the charges on them on Sunday after scrutinizing the case documents. The court fixed January 4 to hear the witnesses’ testimonies.

In 2013, the case was filed with Mohammadpur Police Station. The militants were arrested from Katashur area. Police said that they were planning to gain control of a part of the country and conduct armed jihad (struggle).
