No need to deploy army in NCC polls: Ivy

There is no need for army deployment in the December 22 elections of Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC), said Awami League’s mayor candidate Selina Hayat Ivy.

Ivy said this while talking to journalists after submitting her nomination paper to the returning officer of the Election Commission in Narayanganj district.

BNP’s mayor candidate Shakhawat Hossain also submitted his nomination paper to the returning officer this afternoon.

Today was the deadline for submission of nomination papers, which will be scrutinized on November 26 and 27. The last date for withdrawal of nomination is December 4.
