Ragib Ali arrested in India
Bangladeshi business tycoon Ragib Ali was arrested by immigration police in India on Thursday morning.
Confirming the matter Sugyan Chakma, additional superintendent of Sylhet district police told Jagonews that the Karimganj immigration police arrested him due to expiry of his visa.
The process to hand over Ragib to Bangladesh is underway, said the ASP.
Ragib Ali and his family escaped to India after a Sylhet court issued arrest warrants for him, his son, daughter, son-in-law and two others in two cases over the grabbing of a Hindu land by forging documents in Sylhet.
