Netherlands ambassador’s stolen handbag recovered

Detective Branch (DB) of police recovered the stolen handbag of Netherlands Ambassador to Bangladesh Leoni Margaretha Cuelenaere on Wednesday.

According to TV footage, it had seen that the bag was stolen by a young man; police also arrested the young man named Rubel, the mastermind of this incident.

Mashrukure Rahman Khaled, deputy commissioner of Detective Branch (south), confirmed the matter to Jagonews.

The handbag was stolen from the Faculty of Fine Arts premises of Dhaka University on Monday while he was attending at a programme.

A case was filed with Shahbagh Police Station that night in this regard.
