3 JMB men held in capital

Police in a drive detained three operatives of the banned militant outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB), at the capital on Monday night.

A team of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime unit under Dhaka Metropolitan Police conducted a drive in Jatrabari and detained them.

The detainees are identified as Rashedur Rahman Sumon, 24, Shahidul Islam Shipon, 23, and Babu Hawlader, 28.

The police also recovered explosives during the drive.

Additional deputy commissioner (Media and Public Relations) Muhammad Yusuf Ali of Dhaka Metropolitan police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Jagonews.
