BCL central leader found hanging

A central leader of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) was found hanging in his residence of Hathazari upazila in Chittagong on Sunday night.

The deceased Diyaj Irfan Chowdhury, was assistant secretary of central BCL. His family members and followers said his body was hanged from the ceiling fan after murdering him.

According to sources, Diyaj, a student of Finance and Banking Department of Chittagong University (CU) under academic session 2006-07, used to live at the rented house along with his mother Zaheda Amin Chowdhury and a sister. 

However, his mother and sister left the house a few days ago after it was vandalised and looted following an internal feud of the BCL.

Mokaddes Mia, In-charge of CU Police Outpost, said they are investigating the incident.
