Garo girl rape: Main accused Rubel runs away from court

The main accused of a Garo girl at Badda area of Dhaka, Rubel, on Sunday fled from the chamber of a magistrate after he was taken there to record confessional statement.

Rubel was kept at the chamber of metropolitan magistrate Emdadul Huq and he managed to flee.

Abul Hossen, officer in charge of Kotwali police station told Jagonews that he has heard the matter and police was trying to arrest him again.

On Friday, the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested Rubel during a drive at the Airport Railway Station.

There are nine cases of rape, terrorism and extortion against Rubel with Badda and Rampura police stations.
