5 cops among 7 killed in road accident
At least seven people including five policemen were killed in a head-on collision between two trucks at Mahipur of Sherpur upazila in Bogra around 1.30am on Sunday.
The deceased were identified as police men Shahjahan, 35; Pranab, 32; Alamgir, 33; Shamsul, 30 and Sohel, 32.
Khan Mohammad Erfaan, officer-in-charge of Sherpur Police Station, confirmed the matter to the Jagonews24.com.
A Bogra-bound fertilizer-laden truck collided with a Dhaka-bound truck in the area, leaving five law enforcers dead on the spot, said Sub-Inspector Ashraf Hossain.
