Khairul used to list anti-religious writers

Khairul, an arrestee on the allegation of involvement in the murder of publisher Foysal Arefin Dipon and blogger Niladri Chattopadhyay, used to list anti-religion writers and publishers. On the basis of the list, Major Zia used to inquire.

Joint Commissioner (DB) Abdul Baten said this at a press briefing at the conference room of Media and Public Relations department of Dhaka Metropolitan Police on Saturday.

The police said, ‘Khairul admitted this in the initial interrogation. But he didn’t take part directly in the murder of Deepan and Niladri.’

Earlier, DB arrested Khairul at Kamlapur Railway station area on Friday night.

‘Khairul was following publisher Foysal Arefin Dipon and blogger Niladri. He was top level member of Intelligence Unit of Ansarullah Bangla Team. He as well as 4/5 member of intelligence collected information. The main responsibility of Khairul was listing the name of anti-religious writers and publishers, Abdul Baten added.
