SK Sinha takes oath as the Chief Justice

Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha took his oath as the 21st Chief Justice of the country Saturday.

President Md. Abdul Hamid administered the oath taking ceremony at 11 am at Bangabhaban. SK Sinha, an Appellate Division judge, has succeeded M Muzammel Hossain.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, retired Chief Justice M Muzammel Hossain and other previous chief justices were present at the swearing-in ceremony. SK Sinha has been appointed as the Chief Justice for more than three years and is supposed to retire in 2018.
