‘Murder case’ filed over Dhaka airport knife attack
A murder case has been filed in connection with the killing of an Ansar member at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
Ansar platoon Commander Ashraful Alom filed the case with Airport Police Station accusing Shihab around 4:30pm on Monday.
Nure Ajgor Mia, office-in-charge of Airport Police Station confirmed the matter to Jagonews.
Earlier on Sunday evening, Shihab stabbed an Ansar member dead and wounded at least three other security personnel while he was trying to enter departure lounge but on duty security personnel obstructed him.
At one stage of their altercation he swooped on them with knife and stabbing randomly.
Ansar member Ziaur Rahman, one of the injured, was admitted at Combined Military Hospital in Dhaka.
Two other injured security personnel of the airport’s Armed Police Battalion has been released after giving first aid in Kurmitola General Hospital.
