Probe committee formed centering airport incident

Armed Police Battalion (APBN) has formed a three-member probe committee on Monday noon centering the knife attack on security personnel at the Hazrat Shajalal International Airport on Sunday evening.

As per direction of APBN chief, the committee has been formed headed by Additional Deputy Inspector General (Admin and Intelligence) of APBN headquarters Hasib Aziz.

The other members of the committee are Additional Superintended of Police of ABPN Saiful Islam Shanto and Inspector Matiur Rahman.

Confirming the matter Superintended of Police (SP) Zahidul Islam, staff officer of APBN headquarters, said the committee has been given order to submit its report looking into the incident as far as possible.

An assailant had stabbed an Ansar member dead and wounded at least three other members of the security force as they didn’t allow the attacker to enter into the airport.
