Attack on Jamuna tv journos at Swarighat

Two television journalists were attacked on Sunday by miscreants while covering report at capital’s Swarighat area.

The journalists were identified as Jamuna TV’s senior reporter Shakil Hasan and its cameraperson Shahin Alom.

Police said, miscreants tried to burn them while they were going to cover report on polythene at Swarighat area on Sunday noon.

One of the victims Shakil Hasan, said they went to Swarighat area this noon to cover report. After hearing the news, locals swooped on them and tried to burn them.

Officer-in-Charge of Chawkbazar police station told Jagonews that they are trying to arrest the attackers.

Shakil lodged a case with Chawkbazar police station in this connection, he added.
