PM to visit Gopalganj Sunday

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to visit Tungipara of Gopalganj on Sunday to pay homage to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Official sources said Sheikh Hasina would leave Dhaka for Tungipara by an Air Force helicopter Sunday afternoon.

It would be the premier’s maiden visit to Tungipara, the ancestral home of Bangabandhu, after her reelection as the Awami League president.

The leaders of newly elected Awami League Central Working Committee (ALCWC) will also accompany her.
