PM to visit old central jail on Saturday

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to visit old central jail in the capital’s Nazimuddin Road on Saturday.

A source of the premier’s press wing on Friday confirmed the matter to Jagonews24.com.  Authorities opened the 228-year-old former Dhaka Central Jail for all on November 1.

The jail authorities have plan to keep the jail premises open for all after turning it into a recreation centre.

Moreover, a community centre, swimming pool, gymnasium, modern shopping mall and parking place will also be built inside the old jail.
