Gulshan attack: arms suppliers placed on 3-day remand

A Dhaka court on Thursday placed four arms suppliers to Gulshan attacker’s on 3-day remand.

Metropolitan Magistrate Snigdha Rani Chakraborty passed the order when police produced them before the court seeking a 10-day remand for each for interrogation.

The arrestees were identified as Abu Taher, 37, Mizanur Rahman, 38, Selim Mia, 45, and Toufiqul Islam alias Doctor Tofique, 32. Of them small Mizan provided arms to Tamim Chowdhury and Marzan from the Indian frontier.

Earlier, police arrested them from capital’s Darussalam area on Wednesday night. They also recovered 787 detonators and a 0.9mm pistol from their possession.

Hafizur Rahman, assistant commissioner of DMP (media) told Jagonews24.com that the arrestees were active member of JMB and confessed their involvement with arms and detonating smuggling in Indian frontier near Chapainawabganj’s Shibganj.
