Bramhanbaria’s incident unwished-for: Home minister

The incident of Bramhanbaria which happened on Sunday is unwished-for, said Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan while talking to journalists at his ministry on Thursday.

Kamal said, the law enforcers have taken instant measure but they could have been more active.

Home secretary Mozzamel Haq Khan, Police chief K M Shahidul Haq, RAB chief Benzir Ahmed, DMP commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia, among others, were also present at the meeting.

A special team visited the area after the incident according to Prime Minister directive. In one, Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council and several Human rights organisation also visited the area, the minister said.

We have taken instant step as part of this we have withdrawn local OC and the process is underway to take action against the culprits, he added.

The home boss said, Bangladesh is hundred percent safe for the minority community. However law enforcers have taken all necessary steps to avoid any unwanted situation.
