JU butterfly fair Friday

A daylong seventh butterfly fair with the theme ‘Urley Akashey Projapoti, Prokriti Pay Natun Goti’ will be held at Jahangirnagar University (JU) campus on Friday.

Dr M Monwar Hossain, professor of Zoology Department and also convener of the fair, said this on Wednesday at a press conference.

JU Vice-Chancellor Prof Farzana Islam is scheduled to inaugurate the fair at 9:30am.

The fair will include a painting competition for children, photography exhibition, living butterfly display, butterfly-like kite flying for children, screening of documentary on butterfly, butterfly race, debate competition on ‘Butterfly and Climate Change’, documentary exhibition and prize giving ceremony.
