14-kg gold seized at Shahjalal airport

Custom officials seized 14 kilograms gold at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Tuesday at 10.40pm.

Tipped off, a team of the customs officials carried out a search on a SQ-446 flight of Singapore Airlines after its passengers got off and recovered 14 kilograms gold.

Ahsanul Kabir, Assistant Commissioner of Dhaka Custom House, confirmed the matter to the Jagonews24.com.

Details will be disclosed later though a press conference, he said.
