Hallmark chairman Jasmine arrested

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Tuesday arrested Hallmark group Chairman Jasmine Islam on charge of misappropriating Tk 85.87 crore from Janata Bank’s Motijheel branch.

ACC sources said, she was arrested from capital’s Banshal area.

ACC filed a case against her and 16 others with Motijheel Police Station on Tuesday.

On October 2012, the ACC filed 11 cases against 27 top officials of Sonali Bank and Hall-Mark Group including Jasmine, who secured bail in all the cases later.
