4 BCL activists detained with arms, bombs

Police detained four activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League and a CNG-run auto rickshaw driver with arms and chocolate bombs from Faridganj upazila in Chandpur on Sunday at 10am.

The detained BCL activists are Mahbub Hosen, Vice President of Faridganj Municipal, Jahirul Islam, General Secretary, Rabiul, Publicity and Publication Secretary, Mohaimin Sarwar, General Secretary of Faridganj Bangabandhu Degree College.

Apart from identity of CNG-run auto rickshaw driver could not be known immediately.

According to police, police raided in CNG-run auto rickshaw carrying the BCL activists when they were going to polling station at Faridganj upazila.

In this connection, Ashrafuzzman, Additional Superintendent of Police, said, the detained people were brought to police station.
