Capital’s tenants to get unique code

The government is to make a database collecting information about each landlord and tenant in Dhaka city. Every one of them will get a unique code, so that law enforcers will be able to find anyone who will commit crimes.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia said this at a programme at the DMP headquarters on Saturday.

The commissioner said to uproot militancy as per direction of Prime Minster Sheikh Hasina a high level database is under construction collecting information of landlords and tenants.

‘We will be able to submit the database collecting information of all landlords and tenants by one year. We are working hard for that. A single penny won’t be spent for this,’ he added.
