Military police member stabbed at Dhaka Cantonment

An on-duty military police (MP) personnel was injured as a miscreant stabbedhim with a sharp weapon near Kachukhet intersection at Dhaka Cantonment in the city on Tuesday morning.

Contacted, Assistant Commissioner (Pallabi Zone) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Zakir Hossain said a man, wearing lungi, suddenly attacked the military policeman with `Ram Da` (meat cleaver) around 10:00 am.

However, the security personnel there detained the man along with the sharp weapon, AC Jakir added.

The injured army man, whose identity could not be known immediately, was under going treatment at Dhaka Combined Military Hospital (CMH).
