Sheikh Hasina inaugurates AL council
The two-day 20th national council of the ruling Bangladesh Awami League, the country’s oldest and one of the major political parties began at historic Suhrawardy Udyan on Saturday morning.
Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the council at the historic Suhrawardy Udyan at 10.12 am.
According to a party source, a total of 6570 councilors and 6570 delegates will take part in the council.
Leaders of political parties and representatives of various professions will take part in the inaugural session of the council.
More than 50 representatives of different political parties from 12 countries are expected to join the council.
