Road accident kills 7 in Mymensingh

Seven people have been killed and 15 others injured in a road accident on the Dhaka-Mymensingh Highway at Meharbari under Bhaluka upazila of the district on Saturday morning.

Of the deceased, 4 were identified as Fazlul Haque, 47, Motaleb Hossain, 29, Kajol Miah, 45, and Naushed Alam, 35.

Sub-Inspector Saifur Rahman of Bhaluka Police has confirmed the matter to JagoNews24.com.

He said, the accident occurred when a Dhaka-bound bus from Natrokona turned turtle after rammed a sand-laden truck standing in the area, leaving two dead on the spot and injuring others.

The wounded were rushed to Mymensingh Medical College and Hospital where five others succumbed to their injuries, he added.
