Ex-Eden College Prof murder: Selim placed on 3-day fresh remand

A Dhaka court on Tuesday placed Selim Mia, office staff of slain Eden College former vice-principal Professor Ali Hossen Malik, on a three-day fresh remand in a case filed with Vashantek Police Station.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shadbir Yasir Ahsan Chowdhury put him on three-day fresh remand when sub-inspector of Vashantek Police Station Ashik Iqbal, also the investigation officer of the case, produced him before the court seeking a five-day remand.

Earlier on October 12, the court placed Selim Mia on a five-day remand in a case filed with Vashantek Police Station.

It is mentionable that, the 65-year-old retired professor was found dead at his office in Old DOHS on October 11.
