Accused killed in 14 cases in Lakshmipur gunfight

An accused in fourteen cases was killed in a gunfight between two groups of Mojnu bahini and Fakir bahini, claimed police.

The gunfight took place Azam Memorial area of Romij union under Ramgoti upazila on Monday on 3.30am on Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Mojnu, son of late Jahangir.

According to police, hearing the sound of firing, police rushed to the spot and found a dead body. Later police brought the dead body to police station.

At that time a pipe gun and one round bullet were recovered from the spot.

In this connection, Iqbal Hosen, officer-in-charge of Ramgoti Police Station, said, Mojnu was the accused in 14 cases including killing, robbery and abduction.
