Five held with huge drugs in C`nawabganj

Law enforcer agencies in different drives arrested five persons and recovered huge smuggle drugs from Shibganj
and Nachole upazilas of the district during the last two days.

The arrested were Sujon, 22, son of Tofizul Islam of Chhotochak village and Al-Amin, 25, son of Mohobul of Pithalitala village under Shibganj upazila, SM Arif Billah, 32, son of Syed Rahman of Gazitola village under Mirersarai upazila in Chittagong district, Adnan, 26, son of Faruk Hossain of Hizla village and Nahid, 30, son of Dost Mohammad under Savar upazila in Dhaka district.

BGB and police official sources said the drugs are-- 2,402 bottles of phensidyl, 700 pieces yaba tablets and 50-kg hemp.

Three separate cases were filed with concerned thanas in these connections.
