PM to leave for India Sunday

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina leaves Dhaka for Goa, India on Sunday on a two-day official visit to attend the BRICS-BIMSTEC Outreach Summit.

During the visit, she will also have meetings with some world leaders, including Russian President Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The premier along with her entourage will leave for India by a VVIP flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines at 8am and reach Goa Naval Airport around 10:30am.

Indian Minister of Science and Technology Alina Saldanha, Secretary (Cooperation) Padma Jaiswal, High Commissioner of Bangladesh to India Syed Moazzem Ali and Deputy High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Mumbai Samina Naz will receive her at Goa.

She will be given static guard and pass through a cultural program, according to a news agency.

Later, the Prime Minister will go to Hotel Leela, Goa where she will be staying during her tour.

She will hold bilateral meetings with Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay and then attend lunch to be hosted by Chief Minister of Goa Laxmikant Parsekar in honor of BIMSTEC leaders.

After the lunch, Sheikh Hasina will hold meetings with Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha and Russian President Vladimir Putin. She will also join the retreat meeting of the BIMSTEC leaders.

Later, the Prime Minister will attend the BRICS-BIMSTEC Leaders’ Outreach Summit and deliver her statement there.

After attending the Summit, she will have meetings with her Nepalese counterpart Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Indian counterpart Narendra Modi.

At 7 am on Monday, the Prime Minister will leave Goa for home by a VVIP flight of Biman. Indian Minister Alina Saldanha, Secretary Padma Jaiswal, Bangladesh High Commissioner Syed Moazzem Ali and Bangladesh’s Deputy High Commissioner to Mumbai Samina Naz will see her off at the Goa Naval Airport.

The Prime Minister will arrive in Dhaka around 10:45am on Monday.
