UP member gunned down in Jessore
A union parishad member was gunned down by terrorists at Godkhali bazaar of Jhikargacha upazila in Jessore on Thursday at 10am.
The dead man is Rahatzan Sarder, 40, son of Abdul Jalil Sarder of Godkhali Motbari area, UP member of 4 no. ward under Godkhali union.
Confirming the matter, Masud Karim, Officer-in-charge of Jhikargacha Police Station, said, Rahatzan came under attack when he was staying at Godkhali bazaar.
Later local people recovered him and sent to Jessore Medical College and Hospital where the doctor declared him dead, OC added.
