Professor murder suspect placed on 5-day remand
A Dhaka court on Wednesday placed Selim Mia, the suspected in the Eden College former vice-principal Professor Ali Hossen Malik murder case, on a five-day remand.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Amirul Haider Chowdhury passed the order when sub-inspector of Vashantek Police Station Ashik Iqbal produced Selim before the court seeking a 7-day remand for interrogation.
On Tuesday early morning Police recovered stabbed bodies of the professor from a flat in the capital’s Banani DOHS area.
Nazrul Islam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Vashantek Police Station, confirmed the recovery of the bodies from a flat on Road-2 of the area. We found the teacher body in a multiple stabs wound.
Police suspected he was stabbed to death with tied hand and legs by worker. They were run away from the morning.
