JMB member held in C’nawabganj
Detectives arrested a fugitive member of banned militant outfit Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) from Khakchapra area in Islampur union parishad of Sadar upazila early Tuesday.
The arrestee was identified as Palash alias Mizanur Rahman, 28, son of Rafiqul Islam, a resident of Angariapara area of Chapainawabganj municipality.
Hamidur Rashid, officer-in-charge of the Detective Branch of police, said being tipped off, a team of police conducted a drive in the area around 3am and arrested Palash.
He is an active member of JMB and a fugitive accused in two cases, added the OC.
