Man held with gold worth Tk 75 lakh at Shahjalal Airport
A passenger was arrested along with 1.5 kg gold worth about Taka 75 lakh at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital on Monday.
The arrested was identified as Faruk Hossen, 33.
Assistant Commissioner (customs) A H M Ahsanul Kabir said Faruk Hossen arrived at the airport by TG-321 flight from Thailand at about 11am.they recovered 14 gold bars and 13 gold chains from his possession after searching his body.
A case would be filed against Faruk in this connection, he added.
