JSC, JDC exams begin

The Junior School Certificate (JSC), Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations began across the country on Sunday.

The examinations began around 10am.

A total of 19,67,447 students from schools and 3,58,486 from madrasas are sitting for the examinations from 28,632 institutions throughout the country in 2627 centers, including eight oversees ones.

Of the total 19,67,447 JSC examinees, 9,14,900 are boys and 1,052,547 girls while of the total 3,58,486 JDC examinees, 1,67,770 are boys and 1,90,716 girls.

Earlier, at a press briefing on Thursday, Education Minister Nahid said the government has taken steps to prevent question paper leak in the examinations.

“There’s no chance of question paper leak. We’ve increased surveillance in the BG Press so that no employee can come out from it with any question paper,” he added.
