Woman killed in Pabna bomb attack

A woman was killed and her daughter-in-law injured when miscreants hurled hand bomb at them at Bolrampur village in Pabna sadar upazila early Tuesday.

The deceased Mahiron Begum, 75, was the wife of Taju Pramanik of the village. Her daughter-in-law is Reshma Khatun.

Reshma’s husband Azibor Hosen said, his mother and wife came out the home to perform prayer. At that time miscreants hurled hand bomb at them. Later the two were sent to Pabna General Hospital and Mahiron was declared dead.

Hearing the news, Sheikh Md. Selim, Pabna Circle Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) and Abdul Kuddus Munshi, officer-in-charge visited the spot.

ASP Sheikh Md. Selim said, the main cause behind the attack could not be ascertained.
