Suspected dacoit lynched in Tangail, 3 detained

A suspected dacoit was beaten to death by angry mob at Ghatail upazila in Tangail on Monday at 3am.

At that time locals caught three suspected robbers and handed them over to police. Identities of the deceased and detained robbers could not be known immediately.

Kamal Hosen, officer-in-charge of Ghatail Police Station, said, a gang of robbers were taking preparation to commit robbery at a home of Sholakura village of Dholara union under the upazila.

Sensing the presence of the dacoits, the inhabitants of the house caught and beat them. Some of them managed to flee away and three were detained by locals and one was beaten to death.
