Truck kills SI in Rajshahi

A Sub Inspector was killed as a truck hit a motorcycle carrying him at Kashiadanga intersection of Rajshahi on Sunday morning.

The deceased is ABM Azahar Ali, 42, son of late Ohab Ali of Dhanshipara village under Bagmara upazila in the district.

According to source, a speedy truck hit him when he was driving motorcycle and reached at Kashiadanga intersection.

Later locals recovered him and sent to Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital (RMCH) where the doctors declared him dead.

In this connection, Aman Ullah, Officer-in-charge of Rajpara Police Station, said, the truck driver managed to flee away but police members seized the truck. The deceased body was kept at RMCH morgue.
