Certificate giving ceremony of bioinformatics short course held

University of Development Alternative (UODA) and Bio-Bio-1 on Saturday arranged the certificate giving ceremony for the completion of its twelve-week long workshop on tools and methods used in Bioinformatics Research works.

The ceremony, under the attendance of Professor Dr. Emajuddin Ahmed, the VC of UODA as Chief Guest, was held at UODA auditorium, Dhanmondi 27, a press release says.

Prof. Dr. Mohammed Rahmatullah, Pro-VC, UODA, Professor Dr. Rownak Jahan Rahmatullah, Chairperson, UODA, Fokhruz Zaman, Foundation member, Bio-Bio-1  also attended the ceremony and shared their views.

The Chief Guest of the ceremony as well as the VC of UODA Dr. Emajuddin Ahmed emphasized, ‘The nature is changing. If we want to protect the mankind against that, the knowledge and application of Bioinformatics can be proved as one of pivotal’.

Prof. Dr. Mohammed Rahmatullah, Pro-VC of UODA expressed his thought on the progression and future of Bioinformatics in Bangladesh saying, ‘This is the right time to start on it for the country’.

In a simple sentence Bioinformatics is the informatics for life. It works with sequences like DNA, RNA, Protein and works to explore enigma of life.

UODA and Bio-Bio-1 have been working jointly to learn, popularize and conduct research works in Bioinformatics.

UODA and Bio-Bio-1 have been jointly working for last few years to spread the knowledge of Bioinformatics and train researchers on this arena.

The next batch of this short course will start from October 28. The last date of registration is October 22.
