100 killed in Israeli airstrikes on Gaza, many trapped in rubble
At least 100 Palestinians were killed in Israel's devastating airstrikes on Gaza on Saturday. Among the casualties, 40 people lost their lives in an attack on the Jabalia refugee camp, which also included women and children.
According to the news agency Wafa, many people remain trapped under the rubble of buildings destroyed in the attack on the Tal al-Zaatar area. Due to a lack of ambulances and emergency rescue teams, efforts to rescue them have been unsuccessful.
On the same day, 12 Palestinians waiting for food aid in the southern Gaza city of Khan Yunis were killed in an Israeli airstrike. Four staff members of World Central Kitchen and Save the Children also lost their lives in the attack.
Since October 6, Israeli forces have blockaded the areas of Jabalia, Beit Lahiya, and Beit Hanoun, and have not allowed civil defense teams to operate in those regions.
Since October 7, at least 44,382 Palestinians have been killed and 105,142 injured in Israeli airstrikes on Gaza. Meanwhile, Israel has continued regular attacks on Lebanon since the war began, resulting in 3,961 deaths and 16,520 injuries.
A Hamas delegation has arrived in Cairo for discussions regarding a ceasefire in Gaza. However, a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah, which came into effect on Tuesday, has been repeatedly violated.
The humanitarian situation in Gaza has reached a critical point amid the ongoing Israeli aggression. While the international community is calling for a ceasefire and humanitarian aid, no permanent solution to end the conflict has been found yet.
