UN Security Council condemns Dhaka attack
The UN Security Council has issued a statement strongly condemning ‘the heinous and cowardly terrorist attack’ on a restaurant in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
The statement issued Saturday reaffirmed that terrorism ‘constitutes one of the most serious threats to international peace and security.’
UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon also released a statement through his spokesperson condemning the attack and expressing hope ‘that those behind this crime will be identified and brought to justice.’
