Coronavirus: Global death toll rises to 16,558
The death toll from the coronavirus or COVID-19 has reached 16,558 globally on Tuesday.
It has so far infected 381,744 people around the world, according to worldometers.
Of them, 262,757 are currently being treated with 12,062 being in serious or critical condition.
So far, 118,987 cases had outcomes and of them, 102,429 (86 percent) recovered and 14 percent died.
To be noted, a total of 33 coronavirus cases have been detected in Bangladesh.
On March 8, the IEDCR announced for the first time the detection of three Covid-19 patients in Bangladesh.
