Sri Lanka lifts curfew, blocks social media again

The Information Department of Sri Lanka says access to social media platforms have been temporarily suspended, reports Newsfirst.
Meanwhile, the Police curfew imposed in Chilaw last evening, to control a tense situation, was lifted at 4 this morning.
The Police curfew imposed in the Bingiriya, Dummalasooriya and Kuliyapitiya areas yesterday was lifted at 6am.
Several dozen people threw stones at mosques and Muslim-owned stores and a local man was beaten in the town of Chilaw on Sri Lanka's west coast on Sunday in a dispute that started on Facebook, sources told Reuters.
