Malaysian police gun down two Bangladeshis
Malaysian police on Tuesday shot dead two Bangladeshis, believed to be part of a kidnapping gang targeting foreigners.
State news Agency Bernama reported that police raided a house in the capital city of Kuala Lumpur early Tuesday after a tip-off involving a kidnapping.
Police official Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yusoff was quoted as saying that the police had rescued a kidnap victim, a Bangladeshi man in his 30s who was kidnapped last Friday.
The suspects are believed to be members of a syndicate which is involved in the kidnapping of foreigners that operates in Kuala Lumpur and the nearby Selangor state.
