Last week, at least four of a family were charred to death after fire broke out at the Maimoon Manzil building on late January 3. On December 28, 14 persons were killed after massive fire engulfed Kamala Mills compound.

Earlier in the day, five people were charred to death after a major fire broke out at Kailash Bar and Restaurant in Bengaluru.  The bar-cum-restaurant is located in the ground floor of Kumbaara Sangha building, near a vegetable market.
